Cactus TABLE&lamp

The Cactus Collector’s Edition is a limited-edition furniture series that redefines the boundary between art and function. Conceived as both sculptural statement and usable design, the collection draws inspiration from the resilient beauty of the cactus — a form that thrives in harsh conditions yet remains an enduring symbol of survival and strength.

Each piece takes shape as a cactus-like silhouette, designed in two sizes: a tall cactus sculpture that integrates both table surfaces and lighting, and a smaller cactus side table. These objects are not simply furniture but hybrid artifacts, occupying the space between collectible sculpture and functional design.

What sets the Cactus Collector’s Edition apart is its material narrative. The surfaces are composed of discarded cookie and chocolate tins — colorful packaging typically abundant during festive seasons, only to be thrown away afterward. Rather than allowing these tins to fade into waste, the designers reimagine them as vibrant skin, hammered, reshaped, and welded into organic cactus forms. Every seam is meticulously finished with silver and gold leaf, echoing the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where cracks and fractures are mended with precious metals to honor imperfection. Each one-of-a-kind piece is handmade, reflecting Thai craft identity and Handmade values, merging local artisanal warmth with contemporary expression.

This technique not only highlights the process of repair but also transforms flaws into luminous details, embodying the idea that beauty can emerge from fragments of the past. The structure of the tables is further enhanced with stainless steel and cast brass, materials chosen for their contrasting textures: industrial polish meets artisanal warmth, adding depth to the tactile and visual experience.
